MISSION
The mission of the Douglas Moore Fund for American Opera is as follows:

2. Produce and present programs that focus on the music of mid-twentieth-century composers as well as new music that is influenced by these masters to include symposiums highlighting mid-twentieth century composers; opera scenes from contemporary works in progress and highlight neglected chamber and orchestral music from the period through recitals and concerts.
3. Support such other steps as the directors may deem appropriate, in order to encourage or aid young American composers and librettists of opera; and
4. Support the publishing, recording, performing, or copying of operatic works written by American composers and librettists of any age.
